Project Plan and Priority Task List
US Interactive has extensive experience implementing complex
integration projects. We will define a complete project plan
outlining the tasks, deliverables and resources to be used.
Technical Architecture and Design
Based on the functional requirements, our architects would
identify and recommend the architecture and technology options
for you that would provide scalability, performance and reliability.
US Interactive has an extensive set of pre-built user interaction
flows, business process definitions and application connectivity
adapters. Where applicable these will be considered in order
to reduce the costs and time of development. These pre-built
components can be used either with US Interactive's award
winning e2eHub EAI framework, or with other supported 3rd
party eBusiness integration platforms. Architecture definition
would include the logical and physical architecture for hosting
the solution. The design will cover all the aspects of functionality,
usability, reliability, performance, scalability and operational
manageability.
EAI: Modeling Distributed Business Processes
Distributed business processes spanning different backend
enterprise applications would be defined at this time. This
would typically require a Business Process Management tool.
If US Interactive's e2eHub is used, the e2e Hub provides a
robust and sophisticated graphical Business Process Designer.
This enables very rapid configuration of the data flows required
to support your particular business processes. In addition,
US Interactive also has pre-built business process definitions
for most customer facing CRM processes, and where applicable
these will be considered in order to reduce the costs and
time of development.
If the client has already invested in business process definitions
based on existing EAI investments like BEA, Tibco, webMethods,
etc, US Interactive's approach to Unified Views would leverage
those investments.
EAI: Application Connectivity
Application connectivity can be a resource intensive challenge
and a key element of the Integration solution. US Interactive
has more than 50 man-years of developing Application connectivity
to different generations of Enterprise applications in a seamless
fashion. We have developed a complete framework of connector
engineering tools and components that enable us to very rapidly
develop a connector to your specific application. We work
with any systems whether they are developed using JAVA or
C++ environment; client server based applications; or legacy
applications. Through these pre-built connectors, US Interactive's
e2e Hub offers "out of the box" connectivity to
many major applications. However, our teams have also built
connectors for other leading middleware products from BEA,
Tibco etc. and these components can be a complement to these
other EAI products, enabling rapid integration at low cost.
Unified View: Modeling User Interaction Flows and Business
Flows
A user centric view of the enterprise's business processes
leads to superior user experience, customer satisfaction and
productivity gains. US Interactive has developed the "eFlows"
tool, part of e2eHub, to model the user interaction flows
and business flows. The e2eHub is based on J2EE standards
and is implemented on BEA WebLogic app server. We also have
pre-built flows for most customer facing processes like order
entry etc. Where applicable, these pre-built components will
be considered in order to reduce the development cost and
time. Or if the client has investments other platforms such
as BEA WebLogic Integration or Tibco's ActivPortal, we will
incorporate those investments into the overall approach.
If target presentation devices include wireless devices, we
would develop appropriate user interaction flows for those
devices as well. If US Interactive e2ehub is used, flows for
wireless devices can be developed rapidly and easily using
the "eFlows" tool; if the company has invested in
other platforms for delivering wireless applications, we will
leverage those invesments in the solution approach.
Unified View: User Experience development
High quality, branded user experience is an important element
in eBusiness. The user experience look and feel would be developed
around the user interaction flow templates. This would also
include any personalization required. This would the visible
part of the unified view to the end user constituents: customer,
partner and enterprise employee. User experience as appropriate
for the targeted end-user devices would be developed.
Solution deployment, Integration testing and User Testing
US Interactive will deploy the solution on a staging system
in order to perform integration testing of all the components
of the solution. User testing with participation of potential
end-users also would be performed. US interactive can assist
in this or the client can own the responsibility of the user
testing.
Data Migration and Data Load
US Interactive will provide services to migrate existing data
into new applications, including conversion of data; we will
provide services for the initial data load and any development
services required for data synchronization.
Pre-production Planning, Launch Support, Production Readiness
US Interactive will help plan and support the production launch
of the new system, and provide guidelines for production readiness.
US Interactive will also provide services to create operational
run-books for operational staff on the production system.
Post-production Operational Support
US Interactive will provide post-production operational management
support for the deployed solution to ensure uptime and assist
with functions such as backup/restore, archival activities,
and system maintenance activities.
Offshore Development Services
In addition to on-site services, US Interactive has proven
offshore development and quality services with over 150 man
years of experience in delivering integration solutions. This
can greatly reduce your cost of development, and US Interactive
is one of the few companies that has been able to make offshort
development really work. We have an excellent track record
and extensive experience in distributed development with on-site
and offshore resources to balance the costs and optimize the
execution time.
